Rhodiola Rosea

Rhodiola Rosea has been found to boost aerobic performance at higher altitude (1) and improve both explosive power and recovery(2).

Cordyceps

Cordycepin is recommended for overall health and wellness (3). It also improves tolerance to high intensity exercise by increasing blood flow and enhancing oxygen utilization(4).

Ginkgo Biloba

Ginkgo Biloba can help diminish typical side effects of high altitude acclimitization including headache, nausea, fatigue, and insomnia (5). It can also reduce tissue hypoxia by increasing vasodilation which helps increase blood flow to muscles during exercise and recovery (6).

Glutamine

Glutamine supplementation improves immune function during long-term exercise and can directly modify neurotransmitter actions in the brain, affecting mood and cognition. Glutamine has also been shown to reduce subjective fatigue while training at high altitude (7).

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha has been shown to improve physical function, cognitive function, and VO2 max (11). Additionally, Ashwagandha has been found to improve quality of sleep and mental alertness (12).

Creatine

Creatine Monohydrate (CMH) has been widely studied and is broadly accepted as one of the most helpful nutritional supplements for athletes and active adults. CMH increases high-intensity exercise capacity and lean body mass during training (8,9). Creatine has also been found to help with mood (10). It is well known that mood disturbance can occur at high altitude. Current NIH trials are looking at the ability of CMH to aid mood disturbance at altitude (13) following prior compelling research.

What is NOT in our formula:

It has been repeatedly shown by multiple peer reviewed research studies that supplementation with Vitamin C and E, inexpensive and readily available antioxidants, DOES NOT improve acclimatization, performance, or recovery at altitude.
